Summer weddings in New York City can be beautiful, and they can also be brutal. Chris and Hilda got married on a July day that hit nearly 100 degrees with humidity sitting in the low 90% range, and their venue's air conditioning gave out just a few hours before I arrived.
Neither of them let it show. Chris and Hilda took the heat in stride the entire evening, right down to letting me photograph them outside at the tail end of a summer thunderstorm as the night wrapped up. Some of the best wedding photos come out of the moments a couple refuses to let the day get to them, and this was one of those weddings.
