When I arrived for Danielle & Joe's wedding in Wappingers Falls, NY, I posted an Instagram story that read: "If you need it to rain this year, hire me to shoot your wedding!" I'm undefeated at rainy weddings, and the Hudson Valley needed the water this year anyway. Danielle and Joe took it in stride, letting their worries wash away right along with everything else. Meanwhile, Sabrina's team at Hidden Rose Catering pulled off a small miracle: with bridal shower guests arriving just thirty minutes after the ceremony, they completely reset the entire venue in that window, then reset it right back afterward, so nobody arriving for either event ever knew the room had briefly belonged to someone else. I say it in nearly every one of these posts, but it's true every time: I've shot through downpours, hurricanes, heat waves, and single-digit cold, and I have yet to meet a client who let any of it ruin their day. The couples get the spotlight, but the venues and vendors who make the impossible look effortless deserve real credit too.
