Richard and Alex picked their wedding date because it fell exactly between their two birthdays, which is the kind of tidy, sentimental planning I love to see. What they couldn't have planned: that same date turned out to be the Friday of NYC Pride March in Manhattan, and, as if the universe wanted to underline the point, the exact day the Supreme Court ruled that same-sex couples have the right to marry nationwide. Destiny's a strong word, but I'm not ruling it out. By any measure, it was one of the best days I've ever gotten to spend behind a camera.
I liked the raw take from that day enough that I gave it its own post — 747 unedited photos, in order, no polish, right here.
