George and Liz's wedding day in Cornwall, NY was wet and gloomy from start to finish, which, as it turns out, makes for some genuinely great photos. Nobody in the wedding party seemed to notice or care — rain wasn't going to dampen this particular group. Their nephew Leo appointed himself my shadow for the day, fascinated by the camera and determined to see everything I was seeing. Eventually I handed it over and let him take a few of his own; he shares my exact taste for a crooked horizon, and I'd be thrilled if he picked up the hobby, so long as he doesn't come for my business. Between the rain, a train blocking the park entrance, and an unreasonably aggressive flock of geese, plenty stood between this group and a smooth celebration. None of it stood a chance against how much they clearly loved being there for George and Liz.
