Isaac had a vibrant Pride studio shoot five years ago — bold outfits, matching colored backgrounds, full summer joy. This year, he wanted to recreate it. Same concept, new chapter, new photographer. He found me, and I was immediately on board. I'm based in the Hudson Valley, where I do most of my work, but I love to travel for projects that genuinely excite me — and this one absolutely did. We rented a studio in New York City for the day and got to work.
Six Looks, Six Colors, One Great Popsicle Towel
Isaac came prepared. He brought every outfit, every accessory, and every prop — including a towel specifically designated for catching popsicle drips, which is honestly the mark of a seasoned and enthusiastic subject. We moved through six complete looks together, each one paired with a coordinating background:
Blue — cool and striking
Yellow — sunny and warm
Red — bold and commanding
Orange — vivid and rich
Green — fresh and lush
Pink — playful and proud
Each color brought its own mood, and Isaac brought the energy to match every single one.
Why This Kind of Shoot Matters
There's something genuinely meaningful about a recreation shoot — especially one tied to Pride. The original images captured Isaac at a specific moment in his life. These new ones capture who he is now: more confident, more settled, fully himself. Seeing the two sets side by side tells a story that neither session could tell alone, and that's the kind of work I find most rewarding.
